If the Made In China is a "bao feng" UV-5R, I have two of them.
When I got them, one was no good, so I made arrangements to send it back, and got another one. Now, one of them won't remember the programming. Once the offset and tone is entered, it seems to be fine, but if it is turned off then back on, it forgets. So, it will probably be going back.
The computer programming software and cable is difficult to use, as well. I'm certainly not smart enough to make it work!
Programming from the keypad is difficult, but not impossible. Lots of button pushing!
