The thing that gets my "craw" are the new posters who ask a question and then a seasoned poster will respond that's been asked before do a "search." That always gets me! I say, ask the question, a thousand times if you need to, and someone will eventually answer it a thousand times too. If all we did was search through the archives, there's never be anything new ever posted! Think about that!
About campground etiquette? Unless you run into a real jerk of a person, most fellow campers will not invade your world, unless you are truly distressed, the most will proceed with great caution and help you evaluate your situation. But from my experiences, before someone jumps in, they have to see the situation is really desperate.
Here's a true story. Several years ago we were camping at Raccoon State Recreation area near Rockville, Indiana. The in-laws were with us and my father-in-law locked his keys in his truck. PANIC! As we were all struggling with the truck, the neighbor camper (right across the road) came over and introduced himself. He made some small talk which opened the way a little and then he finally laid it on us .... he said he was a lock-smith! OH MY GOSH! He had all the tools, everything. He had the door open in 15 seconds! Now that's what I'm talking about.
