My observation is that on occasion the answers are flavored based on the region that the poster comes from or the type of camping the poster does .
Out west in central Oregon we have more opportunities for free " dispersed camping " than folks in the east .
We have less population density , more forest land and more NFS , BLM , and NPS type parks which tend to not be asphalt camping , and have zero hookups .
We prepare for that kind of camping and tend to not have as much experience with the multitude of nice RV parks that are more prevalent .
We don't need air conditioning at 3600 feet ASL because the temps drop 30 degrees at night and the humidity is lower .
We build campfires in rock pits and the east coast RV park campers do not figure this to be a planned activity as often .
The life experience between two posters is certainly different and each considers their answer to be correct .
There can be several answers to the same question
This group tends to get all of the options on the table and debated for a couple of pages extra .
There are some gems of tips that I have gleaned from this forum and I have been a boat camper for about 50 years .
