These people seem to inhabit the tech-related or tow-vehicle related forums. I am almost afraid, as a newbie, to ask questions there, in case these people decide to make fun of my lack of knowledge.
Just a general question: when out there camping, can we expect to encounter a large number of these know-it-all, smart aleck people, just waiting to make fun of my lack of backing-up experience or my inability to fix the engine of my truck? I am definitely not a handy guy, but I'm not ashamed of it. Just asking whether people with this mentality are in the majority???
No, they are not the majority. there are a few that are useless when answering questions on this board.
I asked many questions in other areas on this board and everyone has been great in their answers. No one made fun of my 'dumb newbie' questions at all.
You meet all kinds of people on the net and out in real life. weed thru and ignore the useless people out there like you would do in life anyway.
When I joined I read TONS of wonderful info on threads here. Never did I really 'see' the know it alls or pick out the 'bad' posts. It was a while before I noticed any of that :)
You haven't had but 7 posts so far and everyone has been super nice in giving information on your other thread. I would say ask your question. You will get tons of great info from people, if ya get some bad, blow it off as everyone must.
