I see this kind of snottiness in posts in other forums as well. Two things: posters like that are secure in anonymity, and usually won't be like that face to face (usually). Next, I have found most campers to be exceedingly helpful.
In frustration, I yelled at my son, when he suggested that if I couldn't get the awning down (had owned camper for a week and never retracted it before) we should just drive it that way. (Yes, at 14 he was very clever that way and unaware that speaking to a frustrated woman with nonsense was unlikely to get the response he expected). Nonetheless, a camper outside two rows over, walked over, and without saying a word retracted the awning for me. That man will never know how humbled I was. I thanked the gentleman, I apologized to my son, and we have enjoyed camping ever since.
