Presume it's cheap because it's one of the rental relocation deals. I've looked at those myself. You could consider round-trip air and do a 3 day local rental in AZ see the Grand Canyon and other regional sites. That's not much time but it's as much as you would have gotten the other way.
Reduced days of the rental will negate some of the difference in cost. Just your gas from FL to AZ will make up the difference in airfare from one-way to roundtrip.
