And in addressing the issue of 'have the money to pay the honey'...I have seen so many large A's here in my travels that I suspect are in the last stages of life..kinda like the owners...they won't have 5 grand to toss at a tow. Man....talk about a worry.

Thank you for proving my first point, If someone can't afford to maintain an RV in proper condition then, perhaps, they need to look at other options before a major expense arises that they can't manage.
If only life were that easy. There are lots of people who could "afford to maintain an RV in proper condition" until something extreme happens. It's like anything - sometimes circumstances happen to make what had been affordable suddenly unaffordable. And many of those folks who you believe need to look at other options have done exactly that. People are pretty resourceful when needed.
