Arrogance Personified

In over 13 years of fulltiming, I might have heard the ultimate today.

In what is an unusual move for us given that we rarely do RV parks, we are in a small (31 site) park. Couple pull into the only site big enough for their 45'ish Prevost and their matching custom appointed 20'ish trailer. Their next door neighbor in a modest 28'ish TT just setting up remarked, "nice looking rig you have there".

Guy responds, (and this is verbatim), "Yeah well, if you've got the money, why not?" That was the extent of the "conversation".
  • He just made a statement of fact. Nothing to get excited about unless someone had an inferiority complex.

Don't we all spend it if we got it?

    Next rant!
  • Maybe he didn't own the Prevost? Could he have been transporting it for the owner?

And maybe, he's just a __________! (fill in the blank) :W

It takes all kinds. That would not have bothered me one bit.
  • And the guy is maybe 5 foot and combs what is left of hair in to a rats nest, rides with an air-head, and back home there is nothing worth talking about.

I call then petty little men.

    navegator
  • Some people here are way, way too thin skinned.
They take offence if somebody looks at them sideways.
Life is too short, get over it.
    Sheesh!!
  • i would have gave him my paymant book and said if you have the money why not pay mine off for me then
  • One of these days, somebody's going to shut his pie hole for him. Hope somebody gets pictures of him crying like the little baby he is.

If this guy is about sixty-or-more but obviously trying to look a lot younger AND accompanied by a Barbiedoll type young enough to be his granddaughter I might be able to explain his evident dislike of small trailers.

This based on an encounter I had a couple of years back with a Prevost at a turnout on a lonely stretch of HWY 101...if it's the same guy, I can believe he's still mad as H-E-Double-Pitchforks!
