As a multi million mile truck driver, I like to just have someone watch, to see if something gets in the way. Spotter moves so I can see them in the mirror, and let me know if anything in the way.
Remember one rule:
The driver is always responsible! You cannot rely on anyone. GET OUT AND LOOK! I have had a number of guys get PO'd at me, because I would get out and look, even though they were spotting for me. Several times I caught that they were about to back me into someone else! And, it would have been MY FAULT!
