I am that newbie who you want to either help or be entertained by. I have mixed emotions about the help. As has been said, I need the practice to become competent but I travel alone and sometimes I am holding up traffic on the road. I have practiced in the parking lots but it seems every campsite is different and requires some other awareness. Some of the help I have received was a hindrance and some was great.
Also, some people who think they know it all, and probably do, are terrible at communicating it.
My advice, if you see someone who looks inexperienced but they keep getting out and checking their progress - leave them alone. They are carefully teaching themselves.
Also, after I get set up I really enjoy hearing the tips from others on solo parking.
