Just to put this all in perspective. We are talking about risk - and as the speed goes up, the risk of failure goes up. The risk is low - that is a small number, but the problem is that sometimes a tire failure turns into something tragic. So tire failures should be avoided and reducing the risk of a tire failure is always a good idea. The opposite is also true.
