The OP has a single axle trailer that he says weighs 2040 lbs on the axle or 1020 lbs per tire requirements. His OEM ST175/80-13 C at 50 psi had 1360 lbs capacity which gave him a 340 lb reserve per tire.
He now wanting to move up to a D tire for whatever reasons hence his derating a D tire with lower pressures questions. Or pump his 50 psi rated tires to a higher pressure. He needs to be talking with his tire dealer about over pressuring a tire above its max rating.
