At what psi can I travel 65-75mph?

This Maxxis pdf has the same table.

Using the table(s) above, my ST175/80R13 with 1060lbs load could run at a minimum 35psi with ~4% reserve capacity. Is there a +10lbs rule?

I run with +10lbs, or 45-50psi, why can't I travel 65-75mph?

If this a per mfgr thing, then it is no wonder we get tired(pun) of digging around in the fine print where the real ST specs are hidden!

  • Let me know when you're running 75mph, and I'll stay home that day.
  • As Howard said, you can't run above 65 without risking tire failure because that's all your ST tires are rated for.
I would run them at max pressure so you have the benefit of all the tires capacity.
  • My thought would be that you can't run 65-75 mph because the chart for the ST tires gives a speed rating of 65 mph. AFAIK ST tires are all speed limited to 65 mph with an exception or two.
