The world of automatic transmission towing is generally limited to certain models of GM, Ford, Honda and Jeep. Other than Honda there are no Japanese or European models that can be towed with an automatic, with the exception of the pre-2006 Acura MDX which is over 3500 lbs. Forget about Subaru, Nissan, Toyota, MB, BMW, Land Rover, Jaguar.
I am sure that some of these European and Japanese cars could be easily made towable, but the towing market is too small for the automakers to care about. I wish it were different as I am tired of the limited selection.
