Ford's Fusion hybrid and Cmax hybrid works exactly that way - Flat tow it all you want up to 70 mph, no need to ever stop and crank the engine to relubricate. The eCVT transmission keeps itself lubricated just fine. 'Tis why I said in previous post, that IMO these vehicles are some of the easiest, most simple automatic tranny vehicles to tow.
