No alterations means just that. I want a vehicle I can hook to the RV and go without removing fuses, adding pumps, stopping every 200 miles to run the engine and the like. Also like I said originally I must have an automatic for the wife in case she has to drive. If she could handle a stick I wouldn't have asked advice in the first place. And since she likes SUVs, the CRV 4x4, auto, naturally is going to get serious attention. If no one has a particular similar vehicle to advise you may feel free to skip this thread.
With your attitude, I think it's you who should just move on to a place that bows to your wishes. Try towing a skate board - but that does not meet you definition of 'automatic.' Sorry to get chippy but you came for help and are trying to kill the messenger.
My sentiments exactly and would have normally went into this weight limit thing, as to the whys and what might be done about it. I'm overweight pulling my toad and we've been all over, including up and down the rockies with our most recent US tour of 7200 miles. Most would welcome any and all information that might be offered, but felt it fruitless and decided to pass with this one.
Not interested in anyone's sentiments, only toads meeting my requirements. Your decision to tow overweight only tells me you've been very lucky....so far. And you should also have skipped my thread since your comments were no help.
