- North of Ottawa?
- Happened to my sister in law 3 years ago. Moderate wind storm snapped a large tree crushing the bunkhouse area of their RV. One of their kids was inside it at the time and has feared wind storms ever since. This year heavy snow on the roof of their Quonset hut collapsed the roof....and crushed their latest 5er! If it weren't for bad luck.....

No stone or brick home would withstand a tree fall. An underground bunker maybe?- That's a lot of fire wood!
- Judging from the debris all over the ground that must have been one heck of a storm and high winds to crack a tree like that.
I had a tornado touch down at a CG I was at. Scared doesn't even begin to explain what it feels like to be in an MH during something like that.
Hope the owners where in the back section when that tree came down. - Trees, they're killers. Can't trust 'em :)

Sorry for that family's ordeal, hope no one was hurt. In the meantime, +1 from me, @Tin_Pusher. Wherever you are, watch out for those trees.
BTW, you knew, I trust, that human beings were invented by grass as a weapon in the war with trees . . . . - Bet the local RV dealers were smiling.
- Almost happened to me a coupla years ago @ Ft. McCoy, WI.
The campground had asked me to move to another site and I put it off till the next morning. Checked the site before moving and a big ole tree had fell where my MH would have been. Sometimes procrastination pays off.
