I recently found on a coach we bought in September last year that the same happened on the main slide. I removed the fabric of the awning. Removed the cover strip from the drip strip and awning slot and then cut off all the rivets that had pulled loose. Then used #12x2 SS self tapping screws for reattachment. The whole mess was recaulked and then the material reinstalled. I don't think it will move now.
