Awning repair: anyone tried Rubber Roof?
I have a 26 foot Springdale TT.
I will be using Rubber Roof http://www.epdmcoatings.com/rv_roof_repair.html
to re-coat the EPDM sheet.
If I have enough left, I was thinking about using it to coat the awning.
The fabric of the awning is in good shape. We did use some RV Goop to repair a small hole before.
Anyone know if RV Goop is silicone? If the Goop is silicone, I will have to remove or prime it. Rubber Roof directions say it wont stick to silicone.
I am concerned:
If it will be too thick.
If it will stick to itself when the awning is rolled up. I will probably leave open for two weeks to let it cure fully, to be safe.
Any thoughts, concerns, comments?
The main problem is the outer layer of plastic (vinyl?) on the awning is peeling off. I know I would have to remove all the loosening plastic.
