Awning rolls wrong?

After three years I think my awning is wrong. Mine rolls with the white bottom side to the top ending up with the open top exposed letting it fill with rain causing a mildew situation. Is this right or can the motor be rversed to roll with the closed loop on top?

    It would roll clockwise from one side and counter clockwise from the other.

    The top side of the awning should be on the outside of the roll.
