Wife and I use walkie-talkies to back our 5r. No visual signaling required.
DW gets excited, yells into walkie-talkie but forgets to push the transmit button.
Part of the problem we've had with walkie talkies. Had a good set of cobra's too. She would later ask didn't I hear here when she said somethign. Half the time no. I don't know how many times I had to tell her that if she didn't her the beep, that I didn't hear her. The good thing is that when we had the TT, I was pretty good at backing it in. I just needed her to make sure there was nothing behind it that I couldn't see that I might hit.
The best thing to save a marriage is to get a motorhome! Back up camera and all. She stays put in her seat until we are parked. Except to get the level out and make sure we are level.
