OP, that was a funny post, with the alligator arms and more! :)
hubby backs up without me. most he will ask is 'tell me if I am going to hit that' if something is in the way or very tight. other than that, he gets out and checks if needed. it is better that way for us. I wait. he gets settled in and then I go to work setting up the camper with him.
