I used to use the walkie-talkies, but my wife would sometimes talk before pushing the button or would keep talking telling me to do something and I couldn't because of something she couldn't see. I found them to be almost as bad as hand signals.
Now we each have a cell so she just calls me and I answer on the truck hands free. We can both hear each other better and we can both talk at the same time if needed. Also, no need to hold up the W/T and push a button while trying to check mirrors etc.
My wife just holds the button down on the walkie the entire time so I don't miss any instruction. If I have a question I stop moving and she releases the button so I can ask her a question. Immediate feedback without cell service.
