No trick - it's just not easy. The problem is that the trailer is already into a turn before you can see what's happening. Always back into a site that's on the driver's side. It's much easier to watch. Put a cone or marker on the ground where you want the back corner of the trailer to end up. Putting magnetic hitch alignment balls sticking out the side of the trailer would help you see what it's doing too.
On the other hand you could put a receiver on the front of your jeep and push it in.
