I love dogs but I would not turn my back on a Pit due to their deserved reputation.

Yeah- I know that pit bulls can be incredibly loving dogs- just as the small breeds can have incredible aggressive tendencies too.
But there's some bad tendencies with that mix of genes. Not out to exterminate anyone's wonderful pet- but not sure we need to be breeding new individuals that with a little bit of the wrong kind of coaching become fairly efficient killers.
