Bad plug blew my TV!!!!! who's liable??????

He initially had a problem where in another post one leg on his 50A service went out. Determined pedestal had bad connection. I don't know if that would cause tv to go poof though.

What do you mean by "bad"? If the TV blew then something else would've gone bad too!

Also sounds like a "bad" surge protector.

But to answer your question...can you prove that the pedestal was bad?
You many have signed something when you registered to the effect that, "The park is not responsible for blah, blah, blah."

That's one reason that I have the PI HW50C.

Must be more to it!
Open phase leg would not cause surge or high voltage.
Open neutral could put 120 volt items in series and cause damage.
First what was the exact problem in the pedestal?
Make and model of surge suppressor and why did it not work?
Your TV gone but what else got damaged that you are not yet aware of?

Consider yourself lucky that the TV is the only damage.

If you want to avoid a court case that will cost your much more than the price of a new television .... you are. Campground will never pay for your television unless you take them to court.

But it won't hurt to ask them?
