Bargan at the Beach!

Question

Well a fellow host told me that Diesel was a bargain in North Newport,OR. Well had to go to Hillsboro, on Tuesday and sure enough the Chevron and Shell on the north end of Newport is selling Diesel for $2.59 a gallon. Stopped on the way home and filled the tank!!
Don't know how long this will last. I also got a bonus of using Fred Myer fuel points for an extra dime off, so $2.49 a gallon today!

It's always nice to get a fuel price relief isn't it?
Diesel here in my part of Pennsylvania is 3.89 per gallon right now and reg gas at 2.99....down in South Carolina this month I was paying 2.09 per gallon.

Yes, regular diesel price in the area is in the $3.19.

When we were out there last month just north of Newport I paid $2.49 for diesel. The next lowest price was Sams Club in Billings Mt.  Our trip was just over 7500 mi and I lucked out and never paid over $2.92. Using Gas Buddy and having a 50 gal in bed tank is a big help in taking advantage of lower prices when possible

Wow, that's a bargain? I just filled up Sunday for $2.29/gallon at Costco. But regular prices for diesel is around $2.50/gallon. I like that area, but those prices are too rich for my blood.

I fueled last week. Only two stations in town with diesel. Both $3.59/gal.Dayton,  WA
