Cost of the tank is not reasonable. Barker Totes are quite pricey $275.00 on Amazon. That said Barker makes a great product and has a great warranty . Years ago,I had a $235.00 cracked tank replaced 3 years later no questions asked.
There have been many post over the years of people who have upgraded their plastic wheels to a quieter rubber wheel. If you do a search I'm sure you will find a few threads. I believe the cost to upgrade the wheels would be less than $50.00.
I set out to upgrade to the 42 gallon model. My 35 gallon tank almost held everything. But always required that 2nd trip to totally empty the gray tank.
I know no big deal, however I have always wanted the larger tank. The 42 gallon was not being made when I originally purchased my 32. I wanted a 42 since it introduction but I have been reluctant to bite the bullet and get the larger tank.
We have a upcoming trip that may require frequent use of the tote,so I figured now is the time to get a 42. I have owned the 35 a few
I was able to sell my 32 on Craigslist fairly quickly setting up the stage to add a few dollars and go for the upgrade.
I still had a little buyers remorse spending the additional money just to gain 7 more gallons in capacity, however getting the upgraded wheels somehow makes the whole purchase more worthwhile.
At the end of it all I have the additional capacity I was after. The pneumatic wheel upgrade was a nice unexpected bonus.
