Bath room sky light water leak

We had a skylight issue once. I removed all the trim, resealed with putty tape and sealant, then covered the entire thing with Eternabond. It still leaked. Dealer found hairline cracks in the plastic dome itself. Replaced with an entire new skylight which solved the problem.
