Battery Amp Hour
Does the amp hour rating double when two twelve volt batteries are used? I understand that they need to be both new so they don't go down to the lowest setting. thanks

The amp hour rating is effectively doubled if the batteries are in parallel, but not if they are in series. You said 12V, but if 6V batteries are used, this applies.
