Yup, you are correct.
The Florida Black Bear is mean. Contrary to the belief and often instructed that if you play dead the bear will go away? Well that might work with the Grizzly but NOT with the Black Bear.
Do NOT ever play dead when confronted with a Florida Black Bear he will maul you, drag you away and eat you....per the "Florida Fish and Wildlife."
Know what Bear you are dealing with before you lay down and play dead!! :B
