This thread prompted me to do some research, this is some interesting reading. Most of the accounts are tragic, especially the ones involving children.....but some of them leave me scratching my head.
Back in the day it seems that it was common to have a bear caged up in your place of business or tied up to a post outside.....can't say I blame the bears for being slightly grumpy in that case.....
