x2 - hitchupExplorerWe've had different carriers for both cell and internet.
While nothing is perfect, we finally settled on iPhones with ATT, Verizon Mifi 4G LTE with Millenicom for Internet. DH also has a Verizon smart phone for work. - wcjeepExplorerCombine Verizon service with a Wilson Sleek cell booster to greatly extend your reach. I included a link to a 4g unit. It will do Verizon 4g and all 3g services.
Wilson Sleek from Amazon - roam1ExplorerWe have verizon and AT&T , if I only had one......verizon!
- Queens_CarriageExplorerDirectTV. Verizon phone. We have found it to be the best all round coverage. You will find at national parks in remote places Verizon will not work. AT&T will be the only one that will work. But are they listening???
- doxiemom11Explorer IIWe just do over the air with our antenna and booster and cable if it's included in the rate. We have AT&T for our cell, but use the internet much much more. For that we have Millenicom on the verizon network and have always had internet service. That is the most important for us as we pay all of our bills online. We can also keep up with the kids/grandkids as most of them have a facebook page and we can chat there.
- stickdogExplorerWife has Verizon smart phone and I have Verizon 4G modem and a Consumer Cellular dumb phone which is ATT network. Verizon coverage is better but we have been a few places ATT rules. We use over the air TV. Sometime we have a signal sometimes we don't.
- EycomExplorerI full time and travel in the East, as I'm still working. After wading through numerous cell carriers over the years, I've finally concluded that Verizon gives me the most reliable service. I've had good service in my limited travels out west. I also use Verizon's 4G MiFi for Internet with at least 3G coverage in about 97% of the places I've camped. Cost has been $50/mo for 5G. Considering switch to Millenicom in the near future. A reseller, they offer more bang for the buck on the Verizon network. I have used DirecTV in the past. You might just bring one of your receivers from home and get a mobile dish. I've found camping in heavily treed areas during the summer, particularly in mountains, has been problematic in acquiring a sat signal. Plus, I got tired of the satellite company dropping networks during their contract disputes. Moving forward, television has become less important to me. Between 6-28 OTA channels have sufficed. Commercial parks, which I use on a monthly basis for 4 or 5 months or so per yr. usually provide cable TV.
