We have had both the early plastic connector hoses and now the metal connector hoses.
My problem with the early hoses is that they came loose at the connectors. Not the connectors themselves but the hose coming off it.
The new metal silver colored 5/8 hose works very good. I bought the 50 foot version for use on washing the windshield and other general purpose chores. It works great. Have had it for a couple years.
