- Dog_FolksExplorer IIWe found that going to the dealership while most of their sales staff were at the rally was useful.
The remaining staff was most anxious to sell, at the "show discount" and we did not have to put up with the crowds. - JRS___BExplorerI think shows are great places. Most shows I been to are only for 2 or 3 days
The dealer paid money up front to be in the show. If they make no sales at all, it is lost money. So they should be motivated.
The best situation is if you already know what you want and there is more than just one dealer present at the show that sells that brand. They will bid against each other without you doing more than asking, Why is so and so offering this same unit for less money? You don't have to ask them to come down on their price. It will just happen automatically. When they start tossing in "free" sewer hoses and patio mats, you are probably getting close to their best price.
There is often times much more discount available if you do not have anything to trade in.
So do not assume the so called special show price is anywhere near their lowest price.
