best place to buy a surge protector
Because some resort have surcharge of power I'm told I should get a surge protector. Where can I buy one and what brand name should I get? I'm from Vancouver Island, Canada.

Are you in a 50 amp RV? If not, then measuring the voltage under load and polarity are all that is needed.
50 amp can end up being unbalanced so a top of the line Surge device is recommended.
I prefer to use an autoformer to correct voltage. I've successfully boosted 97 volts to a high enough voltage to run the roof air.
