I bought a new Honda 2000 several years ago online which beat local prices severely. But now I can't remember their name. :h

Actually I have. When I had an electrical problem with my camper, I asked for other's suggestions on what to check. That was after I spent many $$$$$ and hours trying to resolve the issue myself.
That is entirely different than just posting on here asking someone else to research and find the best price for them, when they can do it themselves. Too many people spend no time researching anything themselves and just ask on here what to do. You and I have read many posts that ask:
1. What do I need to enter into Canada?
2. How do I break in my new truck?
3. Can I take my dog into Mexico?
4. Does a certain campground allow campfires?
5. Does a certain national park have a campground?
You get the idea and know I am right, even if you will not admit it.
You just don't get it do you? Sure, you can google it and make a few phone calls but what you don't get is the experience of previous customers. RVers and campers are probably one of the biggest purchasers and users of portable generators. Generally you'd get pros and cons for the companies they bought from, especially negative experiences.
Your list of topics proves my point. Why not take advantage of folks with first hand experience that have fresh knowledge on the subject?
Why are you even on these forums if all you do is Google and call?
