Camco, ventline, hengs, or who? ....will be replacing the roof vents this spring and looking for vents with metal frames and screens that are easy to remove for cleaning. Just wondering which brand to get for best quality. Any ideas??

I am not sure if you are asking about the vents or the covers. I have had Max-Aire for years and love them.

The Fantastik Fan is the best vent. And for covers I agree Max-Aire are good.

I don't think I would ever replace a vent with another plain vent. I believe I would always at least add a fan to the vent. We replaced the high center vent above our kitchen with a Maxx-Air with remote control and never look back. I had to climb on a chair to open and close the OEM version, and that didn't happen. The Maxx-Air has directional fan as well as multi-speed. Absolutely love it!

Good luck. Buy a quality plastic frame and I'm sure it won't crack for another 26 years

Maxair Fanmate vent covers. Forward slant allows use when raining. Hinged for easy cleaning.. We have two and wouldn't be without them.. Well built; I believe about $90

I went Fantastic Vent with no cover. Works perfect for me. DW would have preferred the model with a remote to avoid reaching up. Last thing I want is another remote to look for.

I would certainly recommend the Fantastic Vent. I just had a wonderful sample of their great customer service. My motorhome is a 2013 left over, that we bought new just under a year ago. I recently called Fantastic for some technical information. As I was explaining the situation, the representative said, well our motors do fail on occasion, I'll send you a new one - no charge, no need to return anything. She then took all the details, and immediately mailed us the motor. I told her that I thought she had gone "above and beyond".

I know some will say, well it was under warranty. You are correct, but there was no issue at all. I didn't have to "prove" that the unit was still under warranty. She took my word for it, and was a delightful person to talk to as well.

The plain Ventline has a metal base, and a screen that clips in, and is removable without tools.

Before buying lOOk at the Fan-Tastic Vent. Not cheap but worth it!

The ones I have ARE plastic frame, and all the frames have cracked! That is why I want metal frames this time.
