We are getting food samples and catalogues from several companies and would like to hear about others' experiences with the various long-term emergency suppliers. Thanks in advance!

EDIT. In the US, people don't starve during a disaster. Disease, looters and exposure will get you first.
Many people have guns as part of their emergency preparedness items. I think an RV also can provide a mobile shelter if roads are passable or even a stationary shelter if homes are not able to be occupied (gas line breaks, etc).
