At the risk of starting a fist fight, and price point not being a issue. Is the Jeep Wrangler a good choice for towing, since transfer cases are few and far between these days?

Why do you think transfer cases are rare?
The Wrangler is an excellent tow but a lousy drive. Rent one and take it for a 200 mile drive and see what you think.
I actually like Jeeps of all sorts but the Wrangler is a purpose built off roader.
Check out the Grand Cherokee since price is not a concern.
