My suggestion would be to disconnect the factory brake controller and get yourself a P2 or P3 and not worry about adjusting them ever again. I old P2 and now my new P3 have both been set the same way. I crank them to the max setting and forget it. The controller only applies as much brake force as is needed so I never even feel the trailer pushing me down steep hills or trying to send me through the windshield on flat ground. If I am just stopping on flat ground the display will usually be 1.8 to 2.5 or so and if I am rolling down a steep hill the display will usually read 5.5 to 7.2 depending on what is at the bottom of the hill. After I gave my nephew a demonstration of this he quckly bought a P3 and disconnected the factory unit in his 2012 Powerstroke.

Here is a pic of the tires that I have changed since the 1st of the year. I may be wrong but I think this qualifies me as knowing a thing or two about tires. I hope the other guy isnt tire paranoid.
