Sorry Veebyes, the confusion seems to be on your side. The Amazon link the OP posted to is a signal booster with an integrated router. I have the exact combination he is asking about. It is both a signal booster and a router.
But I agree with you, that all he may need is a signal booster if he simply wants to boost one computer.
WOW! That WIFI ranger is just shy of $500! It can be mounted rooftop, a good thing, but it does not have a directional antenna. Not a good thing.
The other device linked costing $100 also only has a omnidirectrional antenna. Better than a laptops internal antenna but not as good as the Hawking directional dish at less than $50 but the dish is only good for one device.
I suppose ideally the dish could be connected to your own wireless router enabling multiple devices that way.
Many ways to skin this cat.
