Big Bang

Reminds me of our first TT a 72 Terry bought it after a minor propane explosion. The guy that owned it had a leak at the refrigerator & while trying to find it boom. Lines were under the refrigerator & under an inside cabinet.
He drove himself to the hospital had minor burns on his hands fortunately he left the door open & it blew him out the door. (Ya know I would not have bought it today but the price was right & being young). The trailer walls bowed out slightly. I pulled out the refrigerator out bought a small electric one. Made a few repairs & used the trailer for two years & some guys bought it for a hunting cabin.....made what I had in it back :)

In my case it was a very windy day and while waiting for mobile repair to fix my vent for the gray :S I had ALL the windows open.

The gas from the stove was using the sink as it's 'low point'. Henceforth 'everyone's' consensus that it was the gray tank. Detector is 31 ft back in the bedroom so no it did not go off.

I have posted it several times before but what added to the confusion was the required "SMELL" additive did NOT smell like what I know to be propane back in Wisconsin.

I had filled the tank in Kentucky. It did NOT smell anything like the propane smell I was accustom to. Which is why I did not think it was a propane leak.

Looked it up on the fed regulations site and yes they are all required to add a smell but there is NO regulations stating that ALL propane companies use the SAME smell.

Something to think about and know if you travel and fill up propane in different states, as it did almost kill me and all my dogs.:(

Propane is scary stuff. Put my rig into storage today. Thought everything was done & we drove away. Luckily, not too far down the road remembered that the propane had not been turned off. Back we went to do it.

Feel much better knowing that the rig is completely dead when in storage.

Been there done that stacked some things in front of stove to move to next CG a short distance away and unbeknown to me while driving down the road it bumped the stove knob on. Long story short I damn near died that day. :(

Just because he said it was an "igniter" doesn't mean it was. Could have been the stove on as someone said, then any small spark from anything would have set it off once the TT was full of gas. Also could have been an insurance job....

Propane to those appliances can not 'build up' as they are outside.
All three of those appliances have 'lock out' when main flame is not proven

Stove/oven is only appliance inside.......but doesn't have auto ignition devices
Unless oven pilot flame was on and a stove top burner knob got bumped 'on'

X2! I call B.S on this! I watched him on the news and he joked about and sure acted odd. He says only the fridge was on....hmmmm.....everything explosive is on the outside!
