Not sure what you are looking to tow - but have you seen dual receivers? Lets you put a hitch-mounted bike rack in the lighter receiver mounted above the towing receiver. I've used one for many years - I don't tow with it - I use the top receiver for the bike rack and the lower receiver for a Hitch-Haul carrier - works great! ST
