Bike rack

I got a new bike rack...bumper mounted in a reciever L shaped I am going to weld a bracket to make the bumper stronger....my question is this my DW bike is a women (it doesn't have the "top bar from the seat to the handlebars" it has a angled bar...the problem is I can't seem to fit the bike on it without flipping the bike upside down( with the seat and handlebars towards the ground)...is this ok or do I need to do something else

  • I tried that once and the bike fell off as we crossed a bridge. Go to Walmart and buy a bar that attaches to the seat and to the handlebars, thus allowing the bike to be attached to the rack the same as if it was a boy's bike. Amazon also carries them.
  • I have the same L shaped rack and I carry my bike, my grandson's bike and DW's bike. Plastic straps fasten around the handlebars and wheels to hold it on. My rack will hold four bikes.
