Years ago my wife got me an "All Terrain" bicycle, with 18 speeds and front shocks.. I still ride it when I ride (Alas not so much here in South Carolina where "Flat" is a word that is only used to describe a tire with an air leak).
A very nice bicycle.. Note that "All Terrain" means the frame is Mountain strong but the tires are different (Smooth tread in the middle, knobby sides) I truly enjoy riding the bike when I can.
Back before I checked into hospital the walk from here to the guard shack, or to the shower facilities or the laundry here in the park was one long walk.
I rode the bike (Taking the flatest route) but today, Thanks to what the doctors did,, I'm able to walk the trip.. Thus the bike is hanging out on the bike rack.
WHen I get back to MI.. Well it's a long way to the coffee place (Close to a half mile where I like to park) so I hop on the bike. Plus bike I can go 8-10 MPH and security wont bother me (park Speed limit is 5, normal walking 4)
