Right, but then you still have the same problem with junk water right behind the cap. Same problem, just a different cap, right?
I agree. The only thing you gained is knowing will get dirty. I use the gate valve at the end with the cap with threaded hose end. If a tank valve fails or someone opens it I still have the fail safe to attach the sewer line if there is a problem.
