Blackstone 22" griddle for $99 at Walmart!!

edit: Heads up this version the legs are meant to be attached permanently.

Recent camping trip i notice most my friends have ditched the charcoal grill and moved onto these propane griddles. Been looking around for a few days checking out the different models and pricing.

Last night i noticed walmart had a 22" griddle with hood and a new stand. Price said $99 which is too good to be true. Nobody had it in stock even though the add is listed as "new". Figured it must be some type of error. But i read the reviews and people within the last week were talking about how they love the new grill. One guy posted a picture and it was for sure the new model with the cart with wheels.

Today we were on a road trip and did a local search. The walmart in Banning Ca claimed to have some. Told my friend to please pull over and let me run inside real quick to check the garden section. We decide to park and go in together.

Guess who walked out with 4 new griddles? Not joking we both bought 2. At $99 you could buy a bunch and sell them for $170 in a couple months. Im guessing after this insane deal the price will be closer to $180 just like the older 22" model with the different looking stand.

I plan to keep both of mine. Go online and find this model 1940 if interested. It might show out of stock. But that could mean they are still on pallets. Go find them in the garden section.

  • Darnit! I missed out on it in February 2020 when they were $99 for that kit. My buddy had a 17" and got the 22" kit for $99. I used my FIL's 17" one burner while we were camping and loved it. Watched prices for a couple months and ended up paying $174 for it. Money still well spent, in my opinion. They are FANTASTIC!

The griddle gets a more consistent heat than a grill. I've got a full size and pint size Weber Q grill, so not some cheap throwaway grill. You get an amazing seared crust on steaks, delicious smash burgers, eggs, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, cheese steaks, etc on a griddle that you can't get on a grill.
  • Personally I will continue to grill and would certainly not want to cook burgers or other meats on a griddle. I do have a griddle that goes on top of burners and works well for pancakes. Can someone explain why they switched from a grill to a griddle?

Nothing like that available near me. $129 for the griddle only. No hood or stand is the best I could find. The one you're mentioning is $174.00
Go on Amazon and look up 1813 and 1814. Thats the 17" and 22" with a hood.

Walmart has their own exclusive line. For us campers the "adventure ready" line is what seems to look good.

ACE hardware also carries blackstone and had their own exclusive 36" griddle with a hood. Sold out quickly. I believe they restocked and sold out again.

I have been watching youtube videos is where all that info comes from.

I just checked that out... None available online.. none available for pickup anywhere near me... When I place my email address in for in stock notifications, it kicks me out..

Me thinks they realized their pricing issue??????
I had a similar experience searching yesterday. Would not accept my email alert either. I was trying on my cell phone and my laptop to find one in stock. At some point i saw something that said they were in stock 40 miles away from me. With tons of traffic. I didnt trust it.

Not exactly sure what happened this morning but my friend did a search using the walmart app on her phone. Store in banning CA said they were in stock. Sure enough they had about 30 sitting on pallets in the back of the garden section. I dont think they have been processed yet. So if you live close to a walmart i would go search around the garden section.
