I always do both blow out and 1 gallon of anti-freeze. Micro droplets of moisture in the lines after blow out can reform into droplets that will fall to the lowest point and freeze, breaking or cracking a line, usually in the most impossible spot to get to. Do not forget to allow a little anti freeze to exit your outside shower hose and head. I lost one that way. I do not put anti-freeze in the water holding tank, the HW tank or the waste tanks. Never had a problem.
