You can definitely burst your lines or fittings with an air compressor if the pressure is set too high. Set your regulator of 40-45 psi to blow out the lines.
You do need to winterize the lines to the washer. As well as the washer drain trap. And the low point drains. And the outside shower if you have one. And the black tank flush if you have one.
I do not blow my lines. I use about $15 of antifreeze. But I only do it once a year.
